Mianus Trout Unlimited
Mianus Trout Unlimited hosted the
first annual fishing day for Special Olympic Kids and Adults at
Merwin Meadows in Wilton.

Paul Koopmann helps Casey Smith
land his first
Brook Trout.
It just so happens to be the biggest fish caught.
This one measured in at 14"
Compleat Angler of Darien donated all of the fishing rods and
the Sportsman's Den of Greenwich donated the bait.

Jan Allardt helps this young
Olympian learn how to cast.
Everybody hooked up.
Special thanks goes out to
Rowledge Pond Aquaculture of Sandy Hook,
CT. They donated about 100
Brook and Rainbow Trout for this special day. A big thanks also
goes to the Town of Wilton for letting us use Merwin Meadows.

Joanne Larson helped this
Olympian get hooked on fishing

Steve Shoals helped Robert
Morrissey catch
more fish than he has ever seen.
Robert is sure to be a great angler.

Jeff Poison caught the most fish.
Every time he cast his bait into the pond a fish would hit it. I
think he is a natural. We all had a great time.

Chris Lowman taught Don a thing
or two about bait fishing.
Or is it the other way around?
Don Keifer was a huge help to everyone.

Gaylen Larson (Mianus TU
Treasurer) teaches
Matt Meade patience. Gaylen always hooks up!
We will be doing this every
year because kids love to fish.
Even Big Kids!!!
I can't wait for next year
when we will double the amount of fun. Don't miss it.
